Nurture Healthy Minds

Why is this important?

We understand the urgency of providing Coloradans – of every age – with the resources they need to support mental and social well-being. Children deserve stable and trusting relationships with those that love them, youth deserve the opportunity to develop resiliency skills, and adults deserve community support to sustain healthy, productive lives.

What are we doing in this area?

We are addressing the behavioral health needs of our state by fostering the social-emotional development of children, equipping youth and young adults with resiliency skills, and giving adults – with mental health and substance use challenges – continued support on their recovery journey.

What are our priorities?

We focus our work in the three following priorities:

  • Early Childhood Social-Emotional Development: Our goal is to enhance services and supports that foster social-emotional development and resiliency of young children, ages 0 to 6, so they have stable, responsive relationships with at least one caring adult.
  • Youth and Young Adult Resiliency: Our goal is to ensure youth and young adults have access to the resources they need to support healthy minds, so they have the coping skills to handle their life challenges.
  • Adult Recovery: Our goal is to ensure adults have access to local mental health and substance use resources that support their recovery journey, so they have support close to home that will make recovery possible.

How do we support this area?

The Foundation is bringing health in reach for all Coloradans by engaging closely with communities across the state through investing, policy advocacy, learning and capacity building.
